Union Information and Service Center is an information service center based in Union. The purpose of which is to ensure information services at the doorstep of the grass root people. In each union, an unemployed youth and a young woman jointly serve as entrepreneurs in the information service center. The Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Union Information and Service Centers simultaneously across the country on November 11, 2010. Another step forward has been achieved in fulfilling the goal of building Digital Bangladesh. As well as, the internet service comes within the reach of people at the grass root level. People in rural towns are now very easily receiving low-cost services in various matters including education, health, agriculture, land, employment through the Internet.
